Plenty Systems' management team, Carl Mocnik and Maria Morton, have almost 40 years of combined industry experience in the areas of business development, marketing, project management, commercial and general management.

Carl Mocnik
Carl is the director and CEO of Plenty Systems and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has held
various management roles including director
of Rosmo (Investments) Pty Ltd and commercial manager of AREVA
(Australia) Limited – Australia’s largest electrical transmission and
distribution manufacturer.
Prior to this Carl managed the bid and delivery
of technology projects primarily within the defence and aerospace
sectors in Australia and the United States, in roles with NEC (Australia), RLM and the Silicon Valley-based TCI. This was a natural progression following thirteen years in the Royal Australian Navy, having started as an apprentice technician and retiring as a Lieutenant Warfare Engineering Officer.
Carl's qualifications include a bachelor and post-graduate degrees in electronic engineering (RMIT), an associate diploma in management, and certifications in business management, contract management and project management.
Maria Morton
Prior to joining Plenty Systems, Maria was the general manager of a leading national registered training organisation (RTO) and, before this, was an international university lecturer in marketing and public relations.
She has held senior marketing, public relations and communications roles within the education, health, government, mining and resource sectors. Maria’s expertise is in marketing high-volume / lower-value goods and services.
Maria's qualifications include a Bachelor in Journalism and Communications and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication. Maria is also a certified practicing marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute.
Carl and Maria are both avid explorers and have spent a number of years living and working outside of Australia – including the USA, Africa, Asia, Papua New Guinea and South America. They employ a friendly, down-to-earth approach to doing business; after all, the journey should be as enjoyable as the destination.
