State government assistance available to Queensland SMEs
JobsAssist funding
The Queensland state government is providing the funding for the delivery of our services to Queensland businesses who have 10 or more full time equivalent employees, are located within targeted localities or industries (described below), and who are financially vulnerable.
The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovations (DEEDI)—who administers the $10M of JobsAssist funds—aims to prevent job losses in vulnerable businesses, sustain or improve current levels of employment, and to employ a program of early intervention by providing access to professional and high-level business development assistance.
JobsAssist support
Support is provided in two stages:
► Stage 1 consists of up to $3,000 funding for the diagnosis and assessment of the key issues impacting the business and to develop an action plan to help the owner create strategies and activities which improve the business model.
► Stage 2 consists of up to an additional $5,000 funding to engage our consultants to mentor, provide advice and to assist with implementation of the priority tasks identified in the stage 1 action plan.
Eligibility criteria
The JobsAssist program is available to businesses which have an established operating base in Queensland, employ ten or more full time (equivalent) employees, possess an Australian Business Number (ABN), are registered for GST, are financially vulnerable, and either:
► fall within one of the key industry sectors listed below, OR
► are located within one of the regions listed below.
A full list of the towns and postcodes applicable to JobsAssist is available here.
Financial vulnerability
Clients must have experienced either a 25% contraction in their working capital (current assets less current liabilities) between the last two financial years, or have had negative working capital in both of these periods. Please contact us should you require assistance in determining your eligibility.

Applying for JobsAssist business assistance is as simple as contacting us to help determine your eligibility to the program and to complete the necessary application form.
