Article: Funding for business development and marketing assistance

E-mail Print

Plenty Systems has assisted over 130 Queensland businesses via the State Government’s progressive JobsAssist program. Despite the program's rather odd name, businesses with more than 10 full-time equivalent employees can receive up to $8,000 worth of free business development and marketing assistance. (Businesses must be within either a targeted geographical area or within a targeted industry.)

Could you use some assistance from one of our experienced business development executives to increase your revenue, fix your cash-flow issues, increase your number of customers, improve your profit margins or sales conversion rates, tighten your operational procedures, or identify your logistical issues? We are currently providing these services for free under the JobsAssist program.

In fact, we are proud to be one of the state’s largest providers of business development services under this program, with 14 consultants—eight of whom are JobsAssist-accredited—having assisted over 60 Queensland businesses under both stages of the program. (We are also rather pleased to have received 100% satisfaction in the independent client satisfaction surveys conducted by the government, and that each of our clients who has completed stage 1 has chosen us to continue assisting under stage 2.)

The program is divided into two stages. The first stage is to perform a business review—valued at $3,000—which includes a four-hour, one-on-one session with one of our experienced business consultants (selected to ensure that their skills are aligned to your needs), research of the specific issues faced by your company, and the delivery of a detailed business review and action plan with specific actions and prioritised time frames according to your objectives.

After this—under stage 2 of the program—the state provides a further $5,000 funding to assist with implementation of any of the issues identified in this stage 1 action plan. This will focus on your particular areas of concern.

To gain your slice of this ten million dollar program, check out the geographical area and targeted industry crriteria, or contact us for more information by email or by telephone on 07 3394 8247.
